What is the definition of a single mom? A mom who isn't married? A mom who doesn't have any man in her life? A mom who isn't getting help from the father? Enlighten me please.

Hey Frankie,

My definition of a single mom is all the above with some added functions.
Here are the added functions and this is only my definition as how I raised my two males:

Defined as: A woman who contributes more than 50% of the childs raising responsibilities.

As a woman, in general, we are nurturing and we are so emotional.
So, for me, its important to be mentally able/stable and spiritually leaning on God.

A single mom "must be" flexible, well balanced and know how to multi-task. She has to be organized so she can juggle; School, homework, football, basketball, wrestling and track metes all in the course of working, exercising, grocery store and "metyme".

Being single and a mom leaves a lonely responsibility of supporting your kids financially, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

She must teach her child discipline, respect, love, intregrity, how to be a man/lady, etc. and so much more.

For me, my kids have been blessed to have positive "male role models" that have helped them become men.

I hope this enlightens you some and wasn't too long winded.

bBlessed
